SPears Sound Studio

Welcome to the Spears Sound Studio Website!

You will find us to be unique among San Antonio area recording studios.

We would LOVE to help your musical dreams become reality. Life is short - music is VERY important. Let's get it done.

Spears Sound Studio is nestled in the beautiful Texas hill country near San Antonio - 30 minutes from loop 1604 and Bandera rd. at Medina Lake.

At the heart of the control room is a vintage (1972) MCI 400 series console, known for it’s depth, warmth and unique sonic character. It’s 24 mic pres are comparable to many hi-end boutique mic-pres on the market. Speaking of hi-end mic-pres, I picked up a rack of Seventh Circle Audio pres w/Neve, API and John Hardy clones. Cool stuff.

We offer a full range of services: arranging, recording, and producing and will even help you finish writing incomplete songs or help you find songs to record!

You will find a very relaxed, fun atmosphere and the skills/tools/experience necessary to make your music come alive for all the world to hear.

Blood Water Mission
Dan Haseltine of the band Jars of Clay returned from a trip to Africa overwhelmed by despair, transformed by hope and called to action. He came back with a vision for clean blood and clean water in Africa -- blood free of the HIV virus and water free of parasites and bacteria that cause AIDS patients and others undue suffering. He and his band mates envisioned this orphaned continent to be transformed through the installation of Christ's sacrificial symbols of blood and water.

Or, if you have a favorite cause,
we can donate 10 percent of your
payments to any charity you like.
